We are looking for a motivated Accountant and Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our growing business.

Key Objectives:

  • Ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
  • Provide effective administrative support to facilitate smooth business operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial and operational performance.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth by supporting strategic decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

Accounting Roles:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring financial controls are in place.
  • Process payroll, tax returns, and statutory payments in compliance with local regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process.

Administrative Roles:

  • Provide general administrative support, including handling phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and procurement of materials.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff.
  • Maintain and update company records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with customer service tasks, including handling inquiries and processing orders.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel files.

 Monitoring and Evaluation Roles:

  • Track and analyze key financial and operational metrics to assess the company’s performance
  • Implement a monitoring system to ensure that the company’s operations align with financial and strategic objectives
  • Prove insights and recommendations for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Reporting Roles:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and progress reports for management and stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements to regulatory bodies and investors
  • Report on administrative activities, highlighting areas of improvement and operational challenges

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum CPA Part II
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles, preferably in a manufacturing NGO funded organization or similar industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in Kenya.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
